ACCREDITATION
The Western Surgical Association is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The organization has been accredited since 1976.
Accreditation Statement
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the American College of Surgeons and the Western Surgical Association. The American College Surgeons is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
CME Credit 
The American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity for up to a maximum of 13.5 hours in Category 1 credit toward the AMA Physicianís Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Disclosure Statement
The Western Surgical Association and the ACS have a policy of disclosure of financial interests or possible conflicts of interest on the part of any presenters at the annual scientific meeting. If such interests are present, they will be disclosed to the attendees via a handout distributed with the Program Book at the time of the scientific session.
